Producer KEVIN SHIRLEY Comments On DREAM THEATER, PAGE/PLANT DVDs

October 7, 2004

Veteran producer Kevin Shirley (DREAM THEATER, IRON MAIDEN, AEROSMITH, SLAYER) has posted the following message on his web site:

"DREAM THEATER 'Live at Budokan' DVD and CD came out — it's awesome BUT make sure you set the audio mode very carefully otherwise it will not impress you sonically — it took me three separate occasions to get it right! The default is to 5.1 with some fake surround shit, make sure you deselect that. The 5.1is not necessarily encoded the way it was in the studio — we're looking into it, and will keep you updated. + I am excited about the impending release of 'No Quarter: Unledded'. Here is an online interview with me, re the PAGE/PLANT DVD out October 26. Interview — hope you enjoy! (That's what they ended up with for the cover ..... hmmm!)"
